The Navy and the Navy Command as well have no proper flags. They use as department flags (embedsfaner) the state flag, also known as naval ensign.
In the Royal Danish Navy those flags are called orlogsfaner (literally: naval war flags). Among them there are the conduct flagføringsfane,
which had been rendered to the unit on 17 August 2008 and the command flag with unknown date of approval.
The oldest orlogsfane is called the "flag of oath" (edsfane).
The age of the sheet is unknown but its finial dates from 1757 and had been the finial of a division´s colour before.
